Welcome back!
I just finished a post on Squidoo of a bibliography of my piano reference collection. These are books written anywhere from 30 to nearly 150 years ago (before any collectors get excited I don’t have any first editions- ). Most are about piano history and how it became the instrument that we know and love today, but some of the leading books on piano technology are also included. Again, the link is here. This is by no means the sum total of knowledge on the subject, but it is a very good collection of the English-language literature. (There are other works out there, but I don’t read French, Italian, or German.)
If any of you know of any other quality English-language texts on the subject, please leave a comment and tell me about them. Would be glad to update the list, as well as my collection.
